Our first entertainment mini series, At Liberty, follows Caitie and her husband Elliot Holtzman from Versatile Horsemanship, LLC as they study Liberty horsemanship; a sport highlighting the connection between horses and people, and the mental and physical skill of the horse to work completely free of tack.

About the Trainer

Caitie Holtzman

Caitie Holtzman owns and operates Versatile Horsemanship, LLC based in Gainesville, Texas along with her husband Elliot. Caitie has competed in stock horse and ranch horse versatility events, Extreme Mustang Makeovers, Freestyle Reining with a top 10 finish at Quarter Horse Congress, as well as in the Liberty horse discipline. She has her sights set on more Reining and Reined Cow Horse competitions in 2022, and has a goal of competing in her first Futurity by 2024. In 2020, Caitie started the Southwest Liberty Horse Club as a local chapter of the International Liberty Horse Association, and accepted the position as the Club Coordinator for the ILHA. The Liberty horse discipline has quickly become a staple in the foundation of Caitie’s program, changing the way she and Elliot halter break and start young horses and meshing well with the performance horse training that she is working towards mastering. Follow Caitie and her team through the whirlwind of showing, training and experiencing life in the horse industry.
